My dream vehicle (as posted by my son Sean)

This weekend past, 100+paddlers from Indiana and surrounding states gathered at Wildcat Park in Laffeyette for the 2006 version of the INDIANA PADDLER'S RENDEZVOUS.
Three fabulous days of paddling Wildcat Creek, camping, swapping stories, and making new friends.

Besides the paddling, the highlight of the weekend was Garry "Muskrat" Hill's Saturday night Chili dinner, and the charity auction that followed. A great time was had by all!

Preparing to launch

Garry "Muskrat" Hill did a terrific job organizing the event, not to mention cooking a mean pot of chili!

We made some terrific new friends!

I had a couple more pics I wanted to post, but blogger won't cooperate! See all of Tim Criswell's trip pics HERE

FUN! All of your photos and blogs are really making me want to get into paddling.
No kidding! Me too. It looks like such a good time!
ENVY!!!! For the canoe trip and that is also my dream vehicle! I need to hook up with some kayakers and canoeists around here. That looks like such a great time! *sigh*
ummm THAT's how you PADDLE???
There are so many people posting river pictures these days after various river adventures, including me...synchronicity and a half! Or just a summer thang...

Love the van!
Hi BEar, sorry I haven't been around for a while, just catching up now. Notat home and not easy to get computer time while I am traveling.

I love the van too, wow and you sure seem to know how to have a good time. I felt hungry after looking at your photos! As if i just had all the outdoors myself.

Looks like you are having a wonderful summer,
Miss World and Karen: It's all part of my diabolical plan to get everyone on the water!

vv - check out PADDLER'S DATABASE OF THE WORLD for folks and clubs in your area... http://members.aol.com/weepee123/buddies.html

nd - yes, always better on the water! But then again, a lot of things are!

wc - BOTH! And welcome back!

Candy - ditto! I feel guilty I have kinda been lax not only blogging, but visiting my friends blogs. Been such a busy summer!
That looks like fun and the weather actually cooperated.
Love the pics! Makes me wanna get the canoe in the water again..
great pictures!...loving that van!
At least somebody is having fun this summer. *pout*
We have an excellent folk fest in the Philadelphia area every summer, this year the 18th, 19th, and 20th of August. Next year we should try to get hippie bloggers to come. We were talking about going this year and I thought of you. Weird, huh?
Looks like a great getaway - I can't see all of your pictures, though. :-/ By the way, I tried kayaking for the first time a few weeks ago. It's harder than it looks!
Notta - perhaps you should get VV to give you some pointers!

Just spent a few glorious weeks down your way (OK at least south) and a heckuva time paddling in Oregon.

Our Van looks positively futuristic compared to yours (85 Westy)...beauty way to go.
